I’m not going to do a big review just some comments and thoughts.
For starters, this game is a cross-over with Chaos;Head you should at least look in to who Knighthart is and the basic story of the game.
Second, you’re going to want to use a guide, a good amount of stuff you need to type in is kinda confusing, or the clues given to you are types that need to be thought of outside the box.
Third if you do use a guide it’s about an hour to two hours to complete. If you don’t use a guide you’re looking at way longer.
My only problems with the game and story were that everyone doesn’t remember anything besides Okabe. Because this takes place post true end. It doesn’t add much on to the overall story for the series and can be skipped or not even counted as canon if you want to do that far due to the fact we don’t know which worldline it ends in.
The 8bit music, graphics and commands are not for everyone. I got a headache after playing for half an hour and had to break then pick up where I stopped. The settings can be changed to meet what ever you want like with the lines and what not.
Personally I think this should have been offered in Japan for a lower price, if I remember correctly the game was selling for the same price as the normal VN. Just due to the fact the game isn’t very long, has no voice acting and the graphics are just 8-bit ports of the vn artwork.
For fans of both C;H and S;G it’s worth a read, if you’re not a fan of C;H feel free to skip this over. It doesn’t add much over all and it’s just a fun little text adventure.
